Hey guys! How y’all doing. So before I start today’s post, I have an announcement to make real quick.
Drum roll please 🥁 🥁
I redesigned my blog today!!
If you haven’t noticed it yet, I have made a few but also not so few changes to my blog!! I changed the style and added a little cuteness into the whole theme. Took me hours but I finally pulled it off and I’m really satisfied with how it turned out. So make sure you comment down below on what your thoughts are on the new layout and design. Do you like it? Do you hate it? Do you want something different? I really want to know because I’m honestly doing this all for you guys. So yeah, tell me your thoughts. Let’s chat in the comments section!!
Now that we’re done with that, let’s move on to today’s agenda.
School’s finally out fr fr and I’m so excited to be back home, away from the stress and hassles I’ve faced this last couple of weeks. I’m excited to get back to doing what I normally do, like blogging, going out with friends, watching TV, sleeping at normal hours because FYI, I’ve become a night owl. Finals have been so hectic that I hardly get any sleep so my body is really going to need some time to readjust itself into its normal sequence and time habits.
Today, I actually wanted to do something a bit different that I normally do. I planned on doing a funny memes post on college stress and exams but I decided to do that next week. Today’s post is actually a poem, not mine obviously. I’m not an artsy person. It’s from a really amazing poet I came across on IG a couple of days earlier and I absolutely fell in love with their work. I love that the poems are not only so well constructed but incorporate parts of Scripture in them. I love Christian writers and authors because I feel like being able to share the gospel through your art or work is so amazing. It has the ability to reach a huuuuuggggeeee audience without you even knowing. So yh. Kudos to Christian authors and writers everywhere. You guys are amazing!!
Here’s the poem. It’s actually an excerpt. If you want to read the full thing, check out the @spokenworlds IG page here
As for me and my house
In the beginnings beginning when the flaming Spirit of love was hovering over the dark canvass of the deep, God sang 2 words into the void,
Now Darkness wasn’t a device of His own creation. It was simply the absence of the light that Gods imagination now birthed into the world.
God separated light and darkness and struck the sun like a match in the cosmos bringing light and life to every plant, beast and person it would forever kiss.
He has named us children of that very same light. Children of the light that comes from the light of Him. He has sent us as this light to overcome darkness in a sin sick world.
God, illuminate the hallways, smash the windows, and break down the doors.
