April’s Opportunities

It’s a new month guysss!!! Happy April, Happy Easter and Happy Sunday!!

I hope you had an amazing Easter break with friends or family. However, if you were like me, stuck in school with exams knocking on the door, then that’s okay too! 😁

I’m uber late on the new month vibes but I guess it’s better late than never. I actually wrote this post a few days ago but I wasn’t able to upload because of ‘technical issues’. The Internet and reception in my school these days sucks. If you’ve also noticed I have been really off on my blogging game. I can’t begin to explain how busy things have gotten and how lazy I sometimes get. I’ll just cut things short and apologize to all my wonderful wp family and readers. I’d try my best to update you guys on what’s happening more often.

I have however been a lot more active on my social media – Instagram and Twitter– so if you want to see what I’ve been up to for the last month and a half, go right ahead!!❤

Now that that’s settled, let’s go back to today’s agenda.

First of all, I want admit that I’m super excited about this month okay excited and nervous but for the most part, very excited. You wanna know why? I’ll tell you why!
For starters, the name April literally means to open. I guess we’d all immediately translate that to the beginning of spring or a new season. But I’d like to stop for a second and make a new meaning out of it- Opportunities.

If you read my new year’s post here, you’d see that my theme for 2018 is a season of turnarounds, open doors and opportunities. So while writing this post, it kind of clicked. April means to open which fits so perfectly into this theme.

But what exactly is an opportunity?
An opportunity is a chance, a favourable circumstance to succeed or advance form where you are right now, to where you want to be. So we could say an opportunity is an opening. A slot for you to take.

I choose to see this month this way. As a month of opportunities or a month leading to days, weeks, months and even years of countless opportunities. Remember that it’s not just enough or have opportunities hovering around you. You need to take those chances, literally take the bull by the horn.

I want to quickly point out that we’re not called to live passive lives. To have a passive attitude about everything.
“O well, it’s okay. I’m not good enough. I don’t think I could ever pull that off”.
NO! It’s not okay. It’s not okay to sit back and do nothing. You and only you have the power to make your life better. God has created us as extraordinary beings and our lives shouldn’t be anything less than that.

“But okay, I’m actually trying my best and things don’t seem to work out”.
That’s good. But remember that your best is nothing if you don’t involve God in it. The Bible says

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trusting in God is deeper that just saying the words. It means making God your everything. Involving him in everything and believing that he can in fact take care of any and everything.

Lean not in your own understanding. Human understanding and knowledge can only take you so far. But God’s wisdom is limitless and His power is infinite.

Today I just want to encourage someone, even if it’s just one soul reading. God has set beautiful blessings and opportunities for you to enjoy throughout your life. All He wants for you as His child, is for you to be happy. But the devil knows all this and tries to make you loose faith. He lies constantly and persistently so that we doubt even the simplest things. But remember that it is that our faith in God and His word ought to be unshakeable because without faith, we cannot please God.

Remember this also. No matter how difficult things may get, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. That light is Christ. He is the light that makes our lives beautiful. Christ has already won the battle for us but the devil tries to make us doubt His victory. Because he knows that once we have that revelation, we won’t be afraid anymore.

In every circumstance Christ guides us, comforts us and gives us peace. A peace that passes all understanding. He gives us grace. Grace that is more than sufficient. And he gives us hope, the assurance of total victory through Christ our redeemer. Amen😊

Until next time lovely people,
Stay blessed 😘
